Self Publishing Process Update

Update…Self Publishing…mmm

Just a quick update on the self publishing process for Reborn. I have been trudging away at the edits on this book. It seems the closer I get to finishing, the more time seems to slip away. I write part-time. While being a husband and father, I also hold a full-time job as a nurse practitioner and serve in the Army Reserve in the same position. There is just not enough time in the day.

However, I am not complaining. I write because I love to do so. Editing, maybe not so much, but I do love storytelling. The editing is going a little slower than I had anticipated. If you have read my other blogs, you will know that I have been in touch with an editor. the editing process will take time. My goal is to still have the book out in April of this year. We will have to see how it goes I know I have to stay flexible.

What To Expect In The Future

Self publishing can be difficult as it requires a lot of time. You are your own marketer, so you spend just as much time building and maintaining an author platform as you do writing and editing. I’m still new at this and as I learn and adapt, I hope to become better. I have missed my book review blog post the past two weeks but they will be returning this week.

I am currently editing the last few chapters of the novel. Once I have finished those, I will be choosing a few lucky beta readers to give feedback on the novel. Will you be one of those beta readers? You could be. If you love fantasy and can leave honest feedback, then click here to apply to be a beta reader. Not interested in beta reading but want to stay up to date on the self publishing process, click here to sign up to the newsletter or here for the blog.

I would love to keep in touch with you all. Feel free to send me an email on the contact page if you have any questions or engage in the comments on the blog posts. I will answer each email and comment. I look forward to hearing from you.
